Frequently asked questions

What file formats can I open in the editor?
CSV, Excel (.xlsx and .xls), OFX, QFX, QBO, QIF, and JSON. Drop one file or multiple files at once — the editor parses them all and merges the transactions into a single editable table sorted by date.
Can I merge transactions from multiple files?
Yes. Drop in January through December from different sources, different formats, even different banks. The editor combines them into one unified transaction list and flags any duplicates that appear across files.
Does it detect duplicate transactions?
Yes. When you import overlapping files, the editor automatically flags transactions matching on date, amount, and description. Review them in a dedicated panel and choose which to keep, delete, or merge.
Can I export for QuickBooks, Xero, or MYOB?
Yes. The editor includes one-click presets for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, MYOB, Sage, Reckon, Wave, GnuCash, and FreeAgent. Each preset uses the correct file format, column order, and date format for that software.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. Everything runs in memory in your browser. When you close the tab, the data is gone. Nothing is uploaded to a server, persisted to local storage, or sent anywhere. Refresh the page to clear the editor.
Do I need Excel to use this?
No. The editor replaces the Excel step entirely. You can edit cells inline, bulk-categorise rows, find and replace text, split or merge transactions, normalise date formats, and view a running balance — all in the browser.
Is the editor free?
Free for up to 100 transactions per session with CSV export. Core ($5.99/mo) increases the limit to 2,000 transactions and unlocks all export formats plus accounting software presets. Pro ($14.99/mo) is unlimited transactions with all features.
